This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the
PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw Badge in
Textiles.
For this BB, you will mend a hole in a hat.
Holes in hats can be mended in various ways. Knit hats can be repaired by darning, duplicate stitching, patching. Repair cloth hats and caps by darning, patching, or embroidering.
To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- repair to a hole in a hat or cap
- use natural materials like cotton or wool
To document your completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pictures or a video (less than two minutes):
- show the hat with the hole to be repaired
- show the tools and materials you will use
- show the repair in progress
- show your hat with the hole repaired!
