Building the this bee watering station was a delightful experience. My youngest is so excited to help me earn badges, and this BB was right up our alley. We like bees. We added the watering station to her fairy garden. We filled a small terracotta saucer with semiprecious stones that we had collected at a "gem mining" tourist attraction in NC, plus some moss and sticks. A watering station fit for the queen of the bees or the queen of the fairies if I do say so myself.

Note: Excellent! Don't expect to see the queen bee to drink from it though. She has dedicated staff for that.

It's lovely outside, and I was enjoying some sun, when a bee flew up and tried getting into my water bottle. She flew away before I could pour any out :( So I figured I should stop procrastinating on this BB! I used an old tray for a plastic pot for the base. For the filling, I broke down some mini plastic trellises I don't have much use for, as well as some dewberry brambles I stripped the spines off of. Then I put it in a shady corner and watched the bugs drink!

This was really cute and so easy to make. With the bees and butterflies flying and fluttering into the forest hopefully this will keep them in just a little bit longer. It was placed among the roses, both wild and domestic.
