Just finished the questionnaire. Hoping to join the boot camp in late March if possible. Looking forward to it!

Burned a wood sign based on one I saw in the Hong Kong airport. Salvaged wood, basic burning stylus, tung oil.
No issues with the water heater before, but I don't think it had been drained in a few years. Opened the ball valve and no water came out, too much sediment blocking the exit. I had to poke a hole in the sediment wall, then it started draining just fine. Opened the water supply after a while to push things along. Lots of sediment at first, but seemed to run clear not too much longer. Put everything back together, and it's working fine.

I replaced my utility sink, faucet, supply lines, and both shut off valves today. Here are the pictures of the cold supply shut off valve.

Had to move the washer for some concrete work, so it seemed like the right time to replace the old rubber hoses with some fancy new ones.

I got a flat tire toward the end of a ride today, seemed like the perfect time to deal with it. I took it apart, found the hole in the tube, found the tiny sharp rock that punctured the tire, replaced the tube and tire (I know I didn't really need to, but I already had them), tested it, and reinstalled the wheel.

thomas rubino wrote:I have been using an all-brass low-flow showerhead since the 1980's.
It has a shutoff button but as I am using an on-demand water heater it is not a good idea to use it.
It can be easily disassembled with hand tools and cleaned of any debris.
Here is what appears to be the modern version of mine.

I like that one, the shutoff button is a great feature. Much cheaper and easier to install than the one I found.
