Wool industry is coming back in the Netherlands (in this case really in Holland, the western part)! From sheep/goat to garment all by The Knitwit Stable.

Not all fases of the production are yet done in the Netherlands, but almost. Only for the spinning it's transported to another European country (Italy, Belgium) and back. I know there are some small (new) spinning mills in the Netherlands, but they use very old machines, probably not able to spin in the way The Knitwit Stable wants it. Samantha and Opalyn show off some of their textile skills (and equipment) in this trailer for their Natural Textiles video. I have some wool for a Textile BB but haven't separated it yet.



I love the swinging separator, or picker! The spinner, too! I made the hand spinner, drop spindle, Opalyn demonstrates but am just lazy enough to want the more automated one.
